Historic Halasuru! Over 80 walkers showed up at 7am, and walked 12,000 steps, on footpaths, in a little over 3hrs while exploring the heritage areas of Halasuru – as well as testing & rating the quality of pedestrian infrastructure.

They walked past several temples (one over 1000 yrs old), a dhobi ghat, listened to stories of personalities who mattered, stopped at the iconic Thom’s Bakery (for a photo, no patties were eaten), and soaked in the heritage and unique military history around Halasuru Lake – where it really all began. And of course, enjoyed the lovely lakefront areas and much, much more. A very special walk in a very special area with a bunch of very special people!

The BLRWalkFest has now completed 4 days and 35kms, and over 300 walkers have participated. We continue to receive amazing on-ground support from BBMP, Blr Traffic Police and BMRCL.
