WOW! Blr people are just fantastic!

Over 125 people showed up today at 7am in the rain on a Sunday morning to walk 10km over 2 1/2 hrs on Bengaluru.s footpaths!

The walkers included the MLA of Shanthinagar NA Haris, senior police and govt officers, senior citizens and over 100 citizens from all over the city who participated with gusto and enthusiasm.

We walked through the Military Areas of Agram, past the old village of Domlur, along the hip Indiranagar 100Ft Rd, and finally in the heritage areas of Halasuru. Over 12,500 steps, a loop of 9.5km and entirely on footpaths – which were rated by the walkers. A unique example of citizen-govt collaboration to improve the city’s pedestrian infrastructure – on foot.
